Quick post with pictures from the weekend of 6-27-15
Three walks/hikes this past weekend. The first was in Dupont State Forest to visit Triple Falls, High Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls with a stop by Lake Dense for a swim. Hot and humid; good day to be close to the water.
Sunday was a short hike up Pilot Cove to Slate Rock trail and to the cliff overlooking the Pink Beds. Only pictures of me are selfie/close ups. Don't want to ruin the scenery so you get Estela and the view.
Monday was an absolutely gorgeous day for a hike on top of the Appalachians, and we took advantage of it by doing a figure 8 loop starting on Flat Laurel Creek, up Little Sam, to the Mountains to Sea and Art Loeb trails.
Sam Knob from the Art Loeb Trail.
Tennent Mountain with Mt. Pisgah directly behind.
My favorite non-people photo of the weekend.
The following pictures are from the top of Tennent Mountain
